And Now for Your Listening Pleasure

Very early in the pregnancy we bought one of these baby listener thingies. We have finally been able to record the baby's heart beat but the easiest way to post it on the blog was in a video file so that's what you have here. Hope you like hearing this as much as we do.

Chipmunk Cheeks and that Wolf Nose

Well, we had another ultrasound yesterday. All is well. Baby weighs almost 4 pounds, and he's moving a lot. His kicks are now way up high close to my ribs. He was very cute on the screen during the ultrasound, he yawned! I'm feeling fine, getting a bit tired. I'm getting pretty big, and it's getting uncomfortable to do some things. We are definitely in the home stretch now :)

Father's Day, Roses and Christmas in June

It was a beautiful day today so after a fabulous breakfast of Father's Day French toast and a leisurely reading of the paper we went to the Whetstone Park of Roses for Rose Fest. I of course couldn't keep from taking a ton of pictures.

As you can see in the picture the belly is getting bigger all the time. The baby is moving so much you can even see him moving the belly. It's pretty funny see.

And on an unrelated topic our Christmas cactus is blooming like crazy. It must Be Christmas in June this year.

This Kid Won't lack for a Place to Sleep

Thank you YaYA and Ampa for the excellent bassinet(click for pictures). The mobile that came with it is very nice and it's super cool that it has a remote control

The Nursery is Coming Along

The nursery now has a crib, a rocking chair and fun shelves. The rocking chair was an awesome thrift store find. We got the chair for $12.12 but we spent nearly twice that on paint. The lesson learned; don't try to spray paint on a breezy day. We did well on the shelves too. We found them at a garage sale for a buck a piece.

We've also started baby's library. Nothing but classics and fine literature for our guy.
